Attn: Seniors – TODAY by 2:30 is the last day for handing in your scholarship applications.   No late applications will be accepted.

For students interested in exploring the opportunities available at The BOCES Tech Center in Yorktown, there will be a tour of the facilities on Tuesday, March 2nd. Permission slips are available in the Guidance Office. Permission slips must be returned by Friday, February 17th.

Science Research Student Information Meeting (students only) on Tuesday, February 28th @ 2:30 PM in FLHS Room C110. All interested freshmen and sophomore are invited. Students may attend to ask questions, gather information about joining the program, as well as talk to current students. Science Research Parent/Student Interest Night is on Wednesday, March 1st @ 6:30 PM in FLHS Room C110. Parents & students may attend to ask questions, gather info about joining, talk to current students, and see poster presentations starting at 7pm.RSVP by 2/27 here: Imagine being able to work with top scientists in a field of your choice, conducting real research in a prestigious lab, presenting your research at notable symposia with the potential for honors, awards, and scholarships, and the choice of earning college credit.  If you think this might be for you, interested students should attend one of our upcoming information sessions.  You can learn how you can join to the program, ask questions, and even talk to current students.  Please visit the website to learn more:  We hope to see you there!

Please join the Garden Club and Bedford 2020 at the Food Forum, March 4. Bedford 2020 looking for student volunteers to help on March 3rd and 4th at Fox Lane High School.  Students will obtain community service hours for volunteering at the event and may attend workshops and the keynote speakers for free. For additional info and to register The types of student volunteer jobs we need to fill include the following: Friday, March 3rd set up tables, chairs, signage from 4pm-6pm and 6-8pm or Saturday, March 4th help as guides, time keepers, waste and recycling captains, reporters/social media experts, photographers, set up and break down.  Shifts begin at 8am and continue until 4pm and generally take 1-2 hours. Information about the Teen Track at the food forum can be found here Registration is free to high school students, but if they would like to buy the Ladle of Lunch available for attendees of the event, they can pay for that ($10) when they register.  Once you know that students are interested in attending, please let me know and I will share the codes with you that will enable them to register for free.
